History

Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh was established in 1875 and throughout all of its campuses has around 6000 students. Since our inception, QMU has made a crucial and distinctive contribution to education by focusing our expertise on issues of pressing social need and by engaging directly with the community.

International Admissions

Our international community makes up around 25 per cent of the total student body and come from over 70 countries worldwide. International students must apply to the University using the online UCAS system and the entry requirements to degree programs will vary depending on the level of study and subject chosen. English proficiency will also be taken into consideration with IELTS scores needing to be 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each language skill.
