About Education Studies, BA (Hons) - at University of Greenwich

Education is much morethan just learning your ABCs – it plays an essential role in society.

Our education studiesdegree offers you a flexible route to a challenging and rewarding career. Itallows you to understand how people develop and learn over their lifetime. Thedegree incorporates a range of subject disciplines including psychology,philosophy, history and sociology.

Entrepreneurship

One of the uniquefeatures of this degree is the opportunity to study social enterprise, which isincreasingly important in working with children and young people. This includesa professional work placement that could see you running your own business as asocial entrepreneur by the end of your degree.

Support

During your studies weoffer support and advice outside of regular teaching times, both face-to-faceand online. This includes academic support workshops for all year groups,online assignment support sessions and a student mentoring scheme to enablestudents to build their skills and confidence in the workplace.

Multi-disciplinary study

Throughout your three yearswith us, you will gain a broad understanding of all cultural, societal,political, historical and economic contexts. All courses within the programmehave vital practical skills embedded within them. You will learn how to investigateand research your own projects, as well as increase your knowledge ofeducational processes, systems and approaches.
