About Human Resource Management and Development (International Development) by Distance Learning, MSc - at University of Manchester, School of Environment, Education and Development

This programme makes available core elements of GDI's existing Master's programmes in Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development, enabling participants to obtain a Master's degree by distance learning without leaving home or interrupting their careers.

It is a  practical and critical introduction to the philosophy, values, policies and practices of HRM/D in an International context. The next intake for the distance learning programme is January 2017.

Notes about fees for this course

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2016, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • MSc (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £642 per 15 credits £2,564 dissertation
    International students: £1,208 per 15 credits £4,836 dissertation

The full MSc programme consists of eight 15-credit units and the dissertation.

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.

All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are possible over the duration of courses lasting more than a year. Entry requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to hold a Bachelors degree with a Second Class Honours, Upper Division or equivalent.  The programme has been designed to accommodate participants from a broad range of backgrounds and relevant professional experience will be taken into consideration as a qualification for entry to the programme. Applicants who do not fulfil all the entry requirements for the Masters degree may be registered as Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate students. Such students whose performance has met the standard required at Master's level at the end of the fourth module proceed to the remaining modules and dissertation. Students whose performance has met only the standard required at Diploma level proceed to the remaining modules. On satisfactory completion of all the modules they are awarded the Postgraduate Diploma.
