About MRes in Material Science and Engineering, MRes - at University of Nottingham Ningbo China

This MRes programme aims to provide students with the necessary advanced, technical, professional and specialised study skills within the fields of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, and to develop a critical awareness of the advanced techniques and technological advances available to conduct state of the art research in this area. Students have the opportunity to explore these in experiments and modelling oriented projects, and complete the course by analysis and interpretation of research results and writing up a dissertation for examination according to the established procedure at the University of Nottingham.

Entry requirements

Course requirements - an honours degree at 2.1 or a master's degree at merit level or above in a relevant subject (or international equivalent). Relevant disciplines include Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and other related engineering backgrounds, subject to completion of suitable modules. Applicants whose first language is not English or whose entry qualification was not obtained in the English medium are required to provide evidence of their proficiency in English.
